Welcome to Muddy Creek Antiques first Blog! Writing has been
another passion for me through out my life. I am excited to share with you my thoughts along with thrifting experiences.
In 1998 I had my first Ebay sale and made $2200.00. It was a Howard Johnson Cookie Jar made by Twin Winton. I had an old antiques magazine which my youngest daughter spotted the cookie jar. I found out after researching it that it was rare and had value. Researching is very important in helping to identify and find value to items we have. Now we have Google but I still use my reference books for research. Call me "old school" but I find it helps. My husband acquired this cookie jar and thought I might like it. Eventually, we had to move and I tried to sell it at my moving sale for $35.00. Luckily it didn't sell! I took the chance to sell it online and the $2200 ending bid began my passion for reselling. Actually my selling experience began as a young child in the 50's but that is another story for another day. Happy Thrifting!
